Dive Trips

for certified divers of all skill levels

Guests usually gather at the dive shop to check in before the boats leave. Our dive boats start at the downtown pier for a departure at 9:20 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays for a 3-tank dive and return between 4:30 and 5:30 PM depending on the dive profiles and the distance to dive sites. If you do not want to do a three tank dive you can do two, and either stay on the boat and snorkel, or get off the boat on the south end of the island and come back to town by taxi (at your own expense).

The rest of the week we depart at 11:30 AM and return between 4:30 and 5:30 PM depending also on the dive profile and distance to sites. If you're staying at a hotel outside of town, in most cases our dive boats can pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel.

Our dives are led by certified instructors and/or divemasters with a maximum of 8 divers per dive leader. Water temperature ranges from 78° to 82°F. Most of our clients are comfortable in the water wearing skins, polartek suits or 2-3mm short wetsuits.

About the dives

Generally, our first dive is an 80 foot wall dive. After our first dive the boat moves leisurely towards the second site which is usually a shallower reef with a maximum depth of 60 feet. During the surface interval the crew serves a buffet lunch that consists of 3 different menus, all you can eat... Barbecue chicken, spaghetti and salad; Ham and cheese sandwiches with French bread roll, 4 fruit buffet or tuna salad, peanut butter and jelly and also a 4-fruit buffet. We also offer soft drinks and purified water. After the second dive, the boat returns to the pier and our crew takes care of the equipment for divers diving the following day. If you want to leave the equipment overnight, we store it securely in the shop and deliver it to your boat the next day.

We perform multilevel profiles on all our dives. This guarantees at least 100 min. bottom time on a 2-tank dive. This is assuming your air consumption is that good. It will be quite a challenge for divers that can not make their air last this long due to breathing performance but we will be giving them tips on how to perform better breathing.

The advantages of our schedule are:

First, our intention is to assure the best use of light (when the sun is after the zenith) since the reef is facing west. Better reef conditions.
Second, we try our best to avoid crowded reefs, after all, our clients are on vacation.
Third, our experience tells us most people like to be able to sleep in and have a leisure breakfast.
Fourth, most of the shops on the island are closed for siesta between 1:00-5:00 PM, the concept has merit, why arrive back at a time when most attractions are closed down. Time to rest before shopping and dinner.
